PyCharm: Thank You, PyCharm Users: Together We Supported Python!

Last December PyCharm supported the Python Software Foundation (PSF) on their Q4/2020 fundraiser campaign. All proceeds from every new PyCharm Professional Edition license purchased with the discount code ‘ISUPPORTPYTHON2020’ went to the PSF’s general fund.

The Python Software Foundation is the principal organization behind the Python programming language. As a non-profit organization, the PSF depends on sponsorships and donations to support its work. You can always make a donation yourself through their website.

These contributions are used to sustain the fund’s efforts in support of the Python language, including sprints, meetups, community events, Python documentation, fiscal sponsorships, software development, and community projects. None of this would be possible without the help of the Python community.

JetBrains and the PSF would like to thank all of you who took part in this campaign. Together we raised $25,000 for the PSF in less than a month! The campaign has helped the PSF maintain a healthy balance and continue to support its community and its various outreach and diversity programs.

We hope that you will enjoy using Python in 2021, and that PyCharm will accompany you in this journey as a powerful and reliable development tool.

We hope to see more of you (especially in person) in 2021!
